Retail Sales Associate, Home & Woman (Part Time - 3 days/week)

About the role: This part time role offers support and assistance on the sales floor as needed, working in sync with a full time staff member. This important support role is designed for someone who shines on the sales floor, a naturally charismatic, dynamic person with a gift for interacting with customers and making sales, who enjoys a busy day in retail.

Location: LEIF Home & Woman — 319 Graham Avenue, Brooklyn.

Schedule: 3 days per week, shifts may range from 6 to 8 hours. Consistent availability on 2 weekdays and 1 weekend day is preferred.

Compensation: $20/hr

Responsibilities include:
+ Working 1-on-1 with customers and clothing/dressing rooms, offering style suggestions
+ Being an all-star salesperson by offering product knowledge and guidance, making sales while conveying an energetic authenticity and friendly familiarity with customers.
+ Conduct sales transactions on POS, accurately ringing up and packing items with care and attention
+ Promptly and thoroughly restocking merchandise after every sale and refreshing/maintaining the sales floor throughout the day
+ Keeping back stock neat and organized, restocking and replenishing supplies throughout the day
+ Customer service while exhibiting excellent written and verbal communication
+ Maintaining the storefront (organizing, cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, etc).

Requirements:
+ Prior retail experience, preferably in a boutique setting (applications with no prior retail experience will not be considered).
+ Comfortable and able to perform well in a high-traffic, fast-paced environment
+ Ability and confidence to make sales through engaged interaction and by offering guidance & personalized recommendations
+ Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
+ Extremely reliable and high accountability
+ An outgoing, warm, vibrant and friendly personality with an authentic, natural ease with people
+ Self starter who takes initiative
+ Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure
