Retail Sales Associate (Part Time — Weekends)
Location: This position takes place in person and will work out of our Williamsburg locations — 99 Grand Street (Home & Gift) and/or 319 Graham Avenue (Home & Woman).
Schedule: 1-2 days a week - some weeks will be only Sundays, some weeks will be both Saturdays & Sundays. We strongly prefer a candidate who offers full availability on weekends so as to provide the most flexibility.

Responsibilities include:
+ Being an all-star salesperson by offering suggestions/guidance and making sales while conveying a natural ease and authenticity with customers.
+ Conduct sales transactions on POS, accurately ringing up items and packing items with care and attention
+ Customer service through excellent written and verbal communication
+ Maintaining the storefront (organizing, cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, etc).

Requirements:
+ Prior retail experience, preferably in a boutique setting (applications with no prior retail experience will not be considered).
+ Ability to make sales through engaged interaction and by offering guidance
+ Exceptional communication skills and attention to detail
+ Extremely reliable and high accountability
+ An outgoing, warm, vibrant and friendly personality with an authentic, natural ease with people
+ Self starter who takes initiative
+ Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure
+ Organized, efficient and aesthetically/visually inclined (gift wrapping, merchandising).
Please note weekends can be VERY busy and intense, so the ideal candidate is confident, has a lot of extroverted energy, enjoys the fast pace and hustle of New York City, can think on their feet and can stay focused amidst many things happening at once.
