A small stoneware ginger jar, likely originating from England in the early 19th century. Inside is glazed and can safely be used with water as a vase.
Approximately 4" tall x 4" diameter, 1 7/8" across opening.
Condition: a delightful heavy and consistent patina throughout. This piece is very old, and beautifully shows its age through wear. Uneven glaze texture and pits throughout, some non-functional cracks in glaze and discoloration throughout. Large chip on bottom rim.
