Working hand in hand with women weavers in a small village located on the shores of Lake Atitlan, Guatemala, Behind the Hill celebrates South American culture and craft by partnering with local artisans who embrace ancestral weaving techniques. The women grow the raw materials right in their own environment—the cotton is naturally colored and has no dyes. Each individual piece takes about three weeks to create, and lasts for a lifetime as a throw or bed blanket.
